Opening Up explores the real-life benefits and challenges of all styles of open relationships--from partnered nonmonogamy to solo polyamory. It offers solutions for making an open relationship work, including tips on dealing with jealousy, negotiating boundaries, finding community, parenting, and time management. Woven throughout the book are the diverse voices of real people--from a woman with two husbands and a suburban swinger couple to polyamorous parents and a gay male triad--who candidly share their struggles, fears, hopes, and the secrets of their success in open relationships.
To be honest, I only read the first chapter and ended up putting the book down. For people who are "Open" and don't mind this type of relationship, then this book is for you. For me, it's against my morals. The book, however, is well written from what I read. If this is something that you're interested in reading, swing by Good Vibrations and pick up a copy.
