I have worn glasses for as long as I can remember, and have debated on having lazer eye surgery. Year after year when it comes time to go for an eye checkup, it always gets me thinking about it. With the expensive cost of the procedure, it's out of my reach, plus I'm truly terrified by the whole thing! I have to admit, shopping for glasses can be fun and exciting. Glasses too can be quite pricey at times, that's if you purchase them from high end stores. The new craze for purchasing eye-wear, is to save and get them online! Just Eyewear is a simple, affordable way of buying your glasses, that have the latest styles, trends, and are the way glasses should be!
You may ask yourself, how would you be able to purchase glasses online, and know if they will look good on you? I thought that at first myself, and the answer is easy... they give you a guideline to follow. They have a whole section that breaks down your face shape, and gives you tips on which type of frame to look for. If you're someone like me with a round face, they recommended "square and angular frames". It also said to try a "clear bridge to widen your eyes, and DO NOT wear round frames"! Helpful tips, and I already knew that with my higher prescription, plastic frames seem to work best.
Fairly easy enough to follow! Next... decide what frame shape and size you would like. They offer:
- Full-rim frames – Fully enveloping, these frames help emphasize those gorgeous eyes.
- Semi-Rimless frames – These rims only frame the top of your glasses, emphasizing the upper portion of your face (wonder worker for diamond and face-down triangle face shapes).
- Rimless frames – Seeming to float on your face, these magical frames achieve a “barely there” look with your glasses and de-emphasize your forehead (works especially well with base-up triangle/heart face shapes).
Frame Sizes refer to the total frame width and fall into one of three basic categories:
Small (130–139 mm), Medium (140–149 mm), or Large (150+ mm).
You want your frames to be proportionate to your face size. Find which range fits best by measuring the width of an old pair of glasses . And the next incredibly important part... select the color that matches you!
If you're someone who already has a pair of prescription glasses and looking for something else, well they offer prescription sunglasses as well. I already own two funky pairs of glasses, and decided on finally grabbing a pair of prescription eyeglasses. Why I decided to wait this many years for a pair? I have no idea... guess I thought they would cost too much. I always hated having to shove my contact lenses in when I was tired, just so I could wear sunglasses on a sunny day. What about those days when I'm tired and don't want to wear lenses?! Now I finally have a solution... prescription sunglasses!
Interested in seeing my new glasses? Keep in mind that it's a VERY bad hair day in the photos! With that said, I LOVE my new sunglasses, and I'm sure I will be getting a lot of use out of them.
